Know What's Below, Call Before You Dig.

It’s Minnesota state law that before you start any project that requires digging, you must contact Gopher State One Call. This will allow you to not only you to follow the law, but could also help you to avoid costly underground utility damages or even deadly accidents.

Call Gopher State One Call at 811 or 651-454-0002 or 800-252-1166

Coop Connections Card

The Crow Wing Power member benefit program has given our members discounts at local participating businesses since 2001 and has since expanded nationally when Touchstone Energy adopted it for cooperatives throughout the country.  The program is now offered to Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, a nationwide alliance of more than 740 electric cooperatives, like Crow Wing Power.

Solar Phase II is Producing

Phase II Panels Commissioned June 12.  There are still subscriptions left for members to own shares. This year the Board of Directors decided to build a second Community Solar Array, Phase II of our Community Solar Project.  It was built at our Swanberg Outpost site east of Pine River and commissioned in June.  To learn more about how you can own a share, click here.  To see the output of the Phase I array built in 2017 or Phase II built this year, click the Phase I or Phase II buttons in the top right hand corner of the page.

Interested in Another Solar Project?

We are planning on Phase two of our Community Solar and are in the process of selling shares to a second Community Solar Array to be located at our Swanburg Outpost east of Pine River.   See the details of that project and proposed project here.  You can indicate your interest on the linked page as well.

Planting Pollinator Gardens

Last year Crow Wing Power prepared four substations in Crow Wing County for planting pollinator seeds to create habitat for butterflies and bees.  We’ve historically had grass growing around all of our substations, but decided the substations would provide excellent locations for pollinator perennial plants.  This year we are turning two substations in Morrison County into pollinator gardens with the co-sharing costs of Morrison County Soil and Water Conservation.  In the past few years, we’ve all read about the nearly extinct Minnesota native Rusty Patch bumble bee
