Let's Go Fishing Wins Community Award

Let's Go Fishing Board Members receive plaque and $500Brainerd Let’s Go Fishing is the 2016 Touchstone Energy Commitment to Community winner this year.   On December 28, they received a plaque and $500 as the local winner and their organization has been submitted for the State-wide Touchstone Energy annual program.  They received a plaque and $500.

Let’s Go Fishing with Seniors is devoted to its mission of enriching the lives of individuals 55 and older through free fishing and boating activities that strengthen communities, build relationships and create memories.  They’ve served senior citizens, groups, individuals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, veterans, widows and widowers, social service agencies, hospice patients, disabled, church groups and adult day care centers.

Each year they take about 1,000 people to area lakes utilizing over 100 volunteers.  To visit their website go to this link.
