A Christmas Day ice storm caused havoc on trees, power lines and poles and drew linemen out into the fierce winds starting around 7:00 on December 25.  By 8:00 that evening we had 600 Crow Wing Power members without power and by 9:30 that number peaked at 680.

Crews worked in terrible windy and cold/wet conditions throughout the night and by morning had restored power to all but five members.  Throughout the day on Monday, December 26 a few outages kept appearing and by 5:00 all had been restored and our men could return home to their families.
